Drone captures tranquil beaches on island of Mykonos Greece

A drone captures the beauty of relatively undisturbed beaches that can be found on the Greek island of Mykonos.   While Super Paradise and Paradise beaches are the most popular with bigger crowds of tourists, the Dragonfly Media Productions flew a camera drone over several beaches that offer more solitude.  They are:

  • Agios Sostis
  • Fokos
  • Mersini
  • Merichia
  • Vathia Lagada
  • Frangia
  • Tsagari

The aerial flyover gives a rare view of the calm sandy beaches and beautiful blue water surrounding these less disturbed locations.

About the island of Mykonos.  It is a Greek island, part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos.   The island has a population of nearly 12,500, most of whom live in the main town, Mykonos, also known as Chora.   In Greek mythology, the island is said to have been the location of a great battle between Zeus and Titans and where Hercules killed the invincible giants having lured them from the protection of Mount Olympus.

Psarou and Paraga Beach Resorts

If you are looking for more popular tourist locations on the island, the beaches of Psarou and Paraga may be to your liking.  Dragonfly Media Productions (see above video) again captures the beauty and action of people enjoying these beach resorts.

Located northwest of Paradise Beach along the coast, Psarou’s powdery sand, clear blue waves and more relaxing atmosphere make this beach popular among families and honeymooners. However, this stretch of coastline has begun to lure larger and larger crowds, including herds of water sports enthusiasts. This beach is known for its great windsurfing and waterskiing conditions.
Paranga Beach, one of the most popular on Mykonos, is a combination of two sandy beaches separating by a headland and forming a large beach. The southern beach is the calmer, while the northern one is fully organised and lined by many taverns playing music.
