Flymore Invitational drone race Charlotte, North Carolina

FPV drone racing continues to grow in popularity around the world and the East Coast of the U.S. is no exception.  A precursor to the IDRA Drone Nationals are the qualifier races and Charlotte, North Carolina will be home to one of those qualifying races.  The Flymore Invitational drone race will be held at the old Savona Mill on Saturday July 23rd.

The hosts of the event will be attempting something really unique with live-streamed HD video of the race to make viewing more spectator friendly and hopefully attract more fans to the drone racing sport.  Also planned are live-streaming of the event on Flymore’s website …

The race will be a qualifier for the IDRA Drone Nationals.  The top two pilots will qualify for the 2016 U.S. National Drone Racing Championships to be held on Governors Island in NYC on August 5-7.  More about the Drone Nationals.

The race is held at the 100-year old historic textile mill, Savona Mill, in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the viewing party of the event to be held next door at Blue Blaze Brewing.
