Drone view of Japan’s Matsumoto Castle ドローン空撮 国宝松本城
Beautiful aerial video taken from a drone of Matsumoto Castle which is located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan. The keep was completed in the late 16th century. It is listed as a National Treasure of Japan.
Matsumoto Castle is also known as the “Crow Castle” because of its black exterior walls and roofs looked like spreading wings. The castle’s origins are from 1504 when a fort was built on the site and was originally called Fukashi Castle. Much of Matsumoto Castle was believed to have been completed by 1593-94. It is known as a flatland castle because it was built upon a plain and not on a hilltop or near rivers. For defense it would have included interconnecting gatehouses, moats, and walls.
